"At 24, I became the second youngest champion in NASCAR
history. Here's another little-known fact. Of the 42 drivers who
chase me at more than 200 mph, most don't get enough calcium. My
advice? Drink three glasses of milk a day. Preferably while standing
still." - Jeff Gordon
Since its inception, "Got Milk?" has been
one of the most visible and successful campaigns in history. Intended
to help stem the tide of declining milk consumption, "Got Milk?"
has actually helped increase milk drinking for the first time in
25 years.
Hundreds of famous people, and even a couple of cartoon
characters (Cookie Monster and Garfield), have helped spread the
message of drinking milk for long-term health benefits to children,
teenagers, and adults. "Got Milk?" has even become a bit
of a craze, with T-shirts, hats, games, calendars of milk-mustachioed
celebrities, two National Milk Mustache Mobile tours, and now a
book journalizing a comprehensive history of this incredible campaign.
